Performing Arts Series

Local Performers Featured Thursday Afternoons in Landside Terminal

As part of the Art in the Airport program, Pittsburgh International Airport is pleased to offer a Performing Arts Series featuring artists and musicians of all genres.

PA-Arts-Council-Logo.jpgPerformances take place in various locations throughout the Landside Terminal.

Travelers, those picking up travelers, airport employees and the general public are invited to attend. Parking is free for up to one hour in the Extended Parking Lot; $2 for the second hour.

Artists for the program have been selected from an open call for performers issued in 2014. The Art in the Airport program has since hosted performers at a variety of special events throughout the terminal, and plans to do more.

Apply to Perform at the Airport in 2017!

Although a pre-qualified pool of artists has already been selected, the Art in the Airport program is always looking for performing artists. Anyone is welcome to apply, but the program seeks artists who perform original music, or music from traditional genres. We are particularly interested in acoustic musicians or those that are able to pass instruments through a TSA screening port.  Applicants that are accepted join a Pre-Qualified Performing Arts Roster. Anyone accepted into the program is considered elegible for a performance at the Pittsburgh International Airport or Allegheny Airport Authority events. Acceptance into the Roster does not guarantee a performance opportunity.

The application process is comprised of two steps. Applicants who do not complete both portions of the process will not be considered for review.

Step 1

Please fill out this application form:

Step 2

Create a profile and upload at least 3 worksamples on the Pittsburgh Artist Registry.  A selection panel will be reviewing this profile to consider your inclusion into the Pre-Qualified Performing Arts Roster. The Pittsburgh Artist Registry is a free portfolio website for residents of a 13 county region in Western Pennsylvania.
