TRAVELER ADVISORY: PARKING GARAGE POWER OUTAGE PLANNED OVERNIGHT MONDAY, FEB. 27 – TUESDAY, FEB. 28

There will be a scheduled power outage in the short-term parking garage at Pittsburgh International Airport from approximately 11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 until  5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.

Electrical work to replace a transformer located in the rental car area, as well as maintenance, inspection and cleaning of electrical equipment will be performed, allowing for continued reliable operation of the electrical infrastructure for tenants and the traveling public.

Travelers, airport employees and visitors are asked to use caution when walking or driving in the garage. The parking garage will be lit by low level emergency lights during this time. Automatic doorways, escalators, and elevators also will not be functioning.

Gate access to the leased portion of the garage will be controlled by Grant Oliver Parking staff to ensure there are no issues getting into or out of the lot. Airport Authority, County Police, Fire Department and Grant Oliver Parking personnel will be in the area to assist the public on levels 2 and 3 of the garage.

The work will also result in a partial closure of the moving walkways leading to the parking lots. Free baggage carts will be provided for customers during this time.About Allegheny County Airport Authority:
