PIT, CONDOR PARTNER ON SOCIAL MEDIA TICKET GIVEAWAY

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh International Airport, Condor Airlines and several restaurants and museums around Pittsburgh are partnering on a social media promotion to give away two roundtrip tickets to Frankfurt, Germany valued at up to $900.

In celebration of new nonstop flights to Frankfurt that begin June 23, the airport, Condor and participating Pittsburgh locations including the Heinz History Center, National Aviary, Hofbrauhaus, Max’s Allegheny Tavern, Penn Brewery, and Deutschtown neighborhood, home of the Deutschtown Music Festival July 14-15, are launching the “Passport to Adventure” promotion from today (April 12) through May 24, 2017.

“Pittsburgh has a strong German and European heritage, as well as amazing restaurants and museums, and this promotion is the perfect way to create some excitement around the new flights as well as show off our regional assets,” said Paul O’Rourke, senior vice president of marketing and communications at Pittsburgh International Airport.

The promotion works as follows:

  1. Participants visit flypittsburgh.com/PIT2FRA to download and print a passport form.
  2. Participants visit one or more of the locations listed in the Passport and take a selfie holding the Passport in front of the named location.
  3. Participants post their photos on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with the hashtag #PIT2FRA from April 12-May 24, 2017. (User profiles must be set to public.)

A winner will be identified via social media by May 31, 2017. Travel must be booked by Dec. 31, 2017, and flights must be taken during the 2018 season.
