MEDIA ADVISORY: Condor Begins Nonstop Service to Frankfurt, Germany June 23

What: Pittsburgh International Airport is welcoming the start of new seasonal nonstop transatlantic service on Condor to/from Frankfurt, Germany, on June 23. The inaugural flight, a Boeing 767-300ER (the first wide body aircraft to serve PIT in over a decade) carrying airport and community officials is scheduled to land at 5:30 p.m. to a water arch salute, followed by a news conference, entertainment and refreshments in Baggage Claim.
 
When: Friday, June 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • 4:30-4:45 p.m. – Media wishing to film the arriving aircraft and water arch salute on the airfield should report to the Airport ID Badge Office (Baggage Claim next to United carousel) for security clearance and to be escorted. Media must show valid government-issued photo ID.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Aircraft arrives at Gate C59 to water arch salute; Arriving passengers proceed to Customs.
  • 6-7:30 p.m. – News Conference, entertainment and refreshments at Baggage Claim J.
Where: Pittsburgh International Airport, Landside Terminal, Baggage Claim J.
