ALLEGIANT LAUNCHES NEW ROUTE TO DESTIN / FORT WALTON BEACH WITH FARES AS LOW AS $69

PITTSBURGH — Allegiant today launches a new route to Destin / Fort Walton Beach, Florida from Pittsburgh just in time for the summer travel season. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, is offering one-way fares on the new route for as low as $69.*
 
“We’re very excited to begin new service to Destin today, adding to our continued growth in Pittsburgh,” said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial. “We’re sure that local travelers will enjoy having the opportunity to conveniently get away to the Emerald Coast with our ultra-low fares.”
 
The new seasonal flights will operate twice weekly between Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS). The flights will provide Pittsburgh-area travelers with their only nonstop flight option to northwest Florida. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.
 
“Destin, Florida marks the tenth nonstop destination for Allegiant from Pittsburgh International Airport since the airline began service in 2015,” Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said. “We’re thrilled that Allegiant has played a part in the airport’s recent passenger growth and air service success, and to see the airline supporting our region’s thriving economy by offering more options to travelers.”

The new route to Destin / Fort Walton Beach is the tenth route served out of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh International Airport became a base of operations for Allegiant in December of 2015.
