CONDOR AIRLINES ADDS NEW NONSTOP TRANSATLANTIC SERVICE FROM PITTSBURGH TO FRANKFURT, GERMANY

Today, Condor Airlines announced new seasonal nonstop service to Frankfurt, Germany, a city that has been in high demand by the Pittsburgh region. Twice weekly flights (Fridays and Mondays) will begin on June 23, 2017, and continue through September. Flights will be offered on a Boeing 767-300 with a Business Class, premium economy, in-seat entertainment system in all classes and new seats. This aircraft will also be able to carry cargo.

According to the German American Chamber of Commerce in Pittsburgh, there are approximately 11,000 people working for German-owned companies in the region; 5,000 German citizens with family in the area; 125 German companies including Adidas, BASF, Bayer, Covestro, Bosch, SAP and Siemens.

The last time Pittsburgh International had service to Frankfurt was in October 2004. Frankfurt is a key city for business and leisure travelers alike, and offers important connections throughout Germany and Europe to cities including Munich, which has become the second largest hub for Condor.

Today, Pittsburgh becomes one of 17 destinations served by Condor in North America. On an annual basis, more than seven million passengers fly with Condor, which celebrated its 60 th anniversary in September, to about 75 destinations in Europe, America, Africa and Asia.
