PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PASSENGER TRAFFIC REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2012

  • FIVE AIRLINES SHOW YEAR-OVER-YEAR INCREASE IN TRAFFIC THROUGH NOVEMBER

PITTSBURGH, PA (January 10, 2013) – Five airlines at Pittsburgh International Airport (www.FlyPittsburgh.com) – Delta, United, American, JetBlue, and Air Canada – continue to show year-over-year increases in passenger traffic through November 2012, according to the Scheduled Airline Traffic Report, prepared by the Allegheny County Airport Authority.

JetBlue realized the greatest passenger increase of 2.7 percent due to increasing the number of daily PIT-Boston flights from two to three. JetBlue is increasing flights on the PIT-Boston route to four daily beginning May 1, 2013. Flights can be booked at jetblue.com today.

Delta has had a 2.7 percent increase, while United has shown 1.8 percent increase; American has increased 0.6 percent and Air Canada 0.8 percent – all year over year increases November 2012 vs. November 2011.

Total year-to-date figures show overall scheduled traffic has dropped 3.3 percent through November 2012 compared November 2011 (7,396,641/7,645,979; 3.3 percent). Scheduled traffic for the month of November 2012 dropped 2.4 percent compared to the previous November (658,463/674,828; 2.4 percent).
