PIT - Allegheny County Airport Authority : Employment
The Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) employs 465 people to operate and maintain Pittsburgh International and the Allegheny County airports.
The ACAA does not recruit for airlines, tenants, concessionaires or contractors at airport facilities. For example, security checkpoint workers and airline reservation representatives are not hired through the Authority.

Engages in all activities concerning the HR administrative function including the job posting process, hiring process, pre-employment process, post job offer requirements, new hire orientation, benefits administration. Under the supervision of the HR Director, organizes and maintains various personnel records. Assists with tasks, assignments, and projects relating to benefits, labor management, and hiring; provides general administrative support to the Human Resources Department. A combination of project-based, job-shadowing, and observational practica. |

The internship position will expose the student to the communications and public relations aspect of working at an international airport and with the airline industry. The intern will receive hands on experience in PR activities along with writing news articles and releases, assisting in special events and with the volunteer ambassador program. |
